Recast any video with AI characters

Upload. Cast. Roll.

Feed in a clip, pick a character from the roster, choose a style — noir, anime, claymation, 8-bit — and the scene is re-performed by your new cast, driven by the motion in your footage. No re-shoot, no crew. It runs right here in your browser.

Load your footage

A short clip with someone on screen works best. Nothing uploads — a single frame is read locally for the preview.

Pick up to three. The first choice leads the scene; the rest fill supporting roles.

Roll camera

Your clip plays through once. The motion drives your chosen cast member's performance, and it's mixed down into a new video — in real time, so a 10-second clip takes about 10 seconds.

How it works

Create. Cast. Roll.

01

Bring a clip

Drop in any short video. The recasting room reads one representative frame on your device to build the preview — the file itself never leaves the browser.

02

Assemble the cast

Choose from the roster of AI characters. Each one is a full look: colour grade, film grain, lens character and edge treatment, tuned to a distinct era or medium.

03

Roll and review

The clip plays through once. Its motion drives the cast member's performance, recorded frame by frame into a new video you can play back and download.

Questions

Good to know

Does my video get uploaded anywhere?
No. The clip is decoded, re-performed and re-encoded entirely in your browser using the canvas and MediaRecorder APIs. Nothing is sent to a server.
What length and format should the clip be?
Anything your browser can play — MP4, MOV, WebM. Rendering runs in real time, so keep it short: 5–20 seconds is ideal. Longer clips work but take proportionally longer.
What format is the download?
WebM on Chrome and Firefox, MP4 on Safari — whatever your browser can encode. The clip's original audio is carried over when the browser exposes it.
Can I bring my own character?
Not yet. The roster is fixed to eight house looks — each one a colour grade, grain and edge treatment. Custom casts are next on the board.
Is it free?
This demo is. It's a styling pass, not a generative re-performance — that's the paid version.
